Playing with a gamepad?
How's the gamepad controller with this game? I plan on buying this for my living room PC.

Its not too bad. I have played Wolfenstein TNO on and off with a gamepad or a M+K. Depends entirely were I want to play on my T.V in the livingroom or my gameroom on the Monitor. I started playing FPS with the mouse and keyboard and I got really good with games like COD4, BF3 etc. Then when I got a Ps3 and picked up Killzone 2 and 3 I had to relearn how to play. You will always have better aim with a keyboard and mouse but its very enjoyable with a pad too since you have vibrate and all buttons are on a small pad. If you are a skilled player you wont have any trouble. I know guys who play Cod Black Ops and beat the crap out of keyboard players so the post above is typical a keyboard fan. I was like that too. Now I enjoy the best of both worlds.

I tried playing New Order with the 360 controller on my couch but felt it automatically turned the game into Uber hard mode. I then busted out my keyboard and mouse and everything is the way it shoudl be.

I prefer gaming on a controller but with FPS's like this, ya gotta go k/m.

Yeah, I like wearing boxer gloves when playing precision games too.
Just think about why auto-aim is considered normal on controller and cheating on mouse&keyboard.

Why must this break out into a mouse and keyboard discussion. I plan on playing this game on my living room PC or from my bed in big picture mode. As such a mouse and keyboard is out of the question.
i love an fps with kb & m as much as anybody, but it runs perfectly fine on gamepad. played tno for over 100 hrs on death incarnate and uber mode with both kb&m and gamepad. no problems. you can always up the sensitivity on your analog sticks.

ill also add i put 14 hrs into the old blood with just a gamepad. it runs smooth.
sometimes i just dont want to hover over my board with my face to the screen, sometimes i just want to kick my chair back and put my feet up - kill some stuff.

Well your question was answered. It sucks with a controller but I prefer the controller in so many other games so it's not just me hating on controllers. Giving context to the issue is important. I'd say the game is playable with the controller but very frustrating.

i guess it's subjected to how each individual plays, really. i found no frustration playing with a controller, personally.
