No button to select sawed off shotgun

SO, I just got the sawed off shotgun, only there is no key to select it? WTF is up with that? This needs to be adressed.

yeah, you need to use the mouse wheel to select it.

That's stupid, and the mouse wheel is slow. The devs need to add keys for the two weapons

Yeah, I found that a bit annoying.

I found the whole thing to be weird though. Why was BJ so rushed to saw off this random shotgun when he had a whole arsenal with him at that moment? Would have made more sense to obtain the sawn off shotgun when he didn't have any current weapons apart from the pipe and knife.

Reviving this. Seeing as it still hasn't been addressed 9 years later, it likely never will be. Not only the sawed-off shotgun, but the heavy machine gun (MG-46) that you can carry in your inventory (once you get the perk by killing 200 enemies with it) should be able to have keybinds.

Whats the best use you have found for shot gun?
I find it a bit slow reloading in pressure situations. I guess that why it never really bothered me there was no quick select with it.

True!!! It was probably originally intended that way. But now with all the other better weapons being recovered early it doesn't make sense anymore.

To switch to the shotgun or open the weapon wheel with a controller you hold the RB button with a xbox controller with a playstation controller you hold the R1 button just started pressing buttons on my controller and found this out.

Double tap the shotgun button until you cycle through it to the *other* shotgun, that worked for me
