Wolfenstein Old Blood, freeze then crash on loading screens
I attempted to find the error online and on the steam community but to no avail: here is my issue:
I've been having a bunch of trouble trying to play Old Blood. When I first started, I played half way through the prologue then quit out, upon my attempt to re-enter and continue playing, the rotating W froze and then it crashed when I alt+tab. I did a fresh install, played through the prologue and the first two chapters. The problem seemed to go away, however when I exited right at the beginning of the third chapter, and attempted to reload my game, I had the same issue rotating W freezing and then the game crashing. Here is a list of some of the other fixes I have tried: editing config file, verifying game cache, running in compatibility mode, updating graphics card drivers. Help would be much appreciated.

Do you know how to access the Windows 10 Event Viewer log?
Bring up the context menu of your desktop My PC icon. Select Manage. Select Event Viewer. The log will appear in the bottom pane. Clear the log. Close the Event Viewer. Then:
1. Reproduce the crash.
2. Re-open the Event Viewer. You should read details of the offending module that caused the crash, and the information there is likely to point you at the root of the problem. More often than not, it's a driver-related issue.

Good luck, guys.

My computer is above the recommended requirements, but the interesting solution i found to that problem was the following one (i long since finished the game already): launch the game, set it to windowed, load the game, set it to fullscreen. That way it never crashed, while it crashed every single time with the game set to fullscreen while loading.

I'm glad that you were able to find a solution and soldier through. I have noticed somewhat similar problems with fullscreen/windowed issues in some other games...and worse ones when Windowed Exclusive was specified.

This fixed my problem too. Thank you for posting the solution.

My problem was a slight variant. I would load up WOB and once I clicked Resume, the loading animation would move for a few seconds and then stop. The game had then frozen and needed to be killed.
