Does this game take place before new order?

Just wondering if I should play this before, or after new order.

This game does take place directly before New Order but was released afterwards. Old Blood kind of assumes that some characters will have a certain relevance to the player, sort of a knowing wink when they arrive.

You can play either game first though and it might be better to play Old Blood first.

Yes play this first then it flows into the next one.

It's a prequel but you should never play these chronologically. Prequels are designed to be seen after the original! By the way opening levels of this game sucks and will ruin the experience for you, so play The New Order first.
