How to fix Wolfenstein: The Old blood game launch
Update: Download the latest AMD or Nvidia drivers to fix the games problem.

I recently installed the game to play, but it seems I have stumbled the same problem with the Wolfenstein: The New Order, as it will crash right on the spot. This will happen to users who have a AMD graphics card (I have a AMD RX 470). But I found a way to fix this problem.

1. Go to the steam game directory where you have installed the game

2. Copy and paste WolfOldBlood_x64 in the game file

3. Rename the file to WolfOldBlood_x32

4. Create a text document called steam_appid

5. In that text documnet type 350080

6. Save the text document in the game directory

7. Launch the game in WolfOldBlood_x32 not WolfOldBlood_x64

8. The game will launch

Edit 1: Make sure the executable lunch file WolfOldBlood_x32 is added to the steam library to choose the right file to launch it.

Edit 2: Do not delete the WolfOldBlood_x64 file or else it won't work.

Edit 3: Make sure that the two laucnh file are in the game folder, WolfOldBlood_x64 and WolfOldBlood_x32.

It's a issue that the devs at Machine Games or Bethesda should have consider to patch the game instead of ignoring the problem.

Has this fix solved your problem? Let me know in the feedback section.
Thanks!

If renaming works then the problem is probably in AMD's game profile.

The problem is there is no answer to fixing the problem by using the AMD radeon settings that is conflicting the game, as it is a software driver to configure graphical settings.

To find the steam game folder, right click the game to properties in the steam library, go to local disk, and click browse local files. it will show the game folder where it has been installed.

Unfortunatly this is the only method that works. There is no other method that will solve the launch problem. I'll make this guide more clear for those who are not able run the game

You can't claim that. if you don't know some other method it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Check game crash log. It should be at C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\MachineGames\Wolfenstein The Old Blood\base\
