Many games nowadays are such big.
Wolfenstein like other games using idTech 5/6 engines uses megatexture technology. It results in unique texturization of all areas and big game size.

Welcome to the last 2 years of AAA gaming. Get used to it.

Only 60FPS? THE HORROR! [/sarcasm]

Anyway, I'm pretty sure there's a way to uncap the framerate, check on PCGamingWiki.

Unfortunately, there isn't (unless without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the game's clock).
And it won't bother people with nornal screens but i got a 144hz one and it's kind of a let down that i can run this game three times the FPS but i can't cuz it's capped.

id Tech 5 problem. Megatexture takes a huge amount of space. There is nothing you can do about it.

Implying that game size has to do with fps cap.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that has nothing to do with it.

That has everything to do with it.

Yes i agree, somethng needs to be done to further compress and/or optimize file structure(s). Data compression needs a break through. Take a look at GTA V main folder for example, it's currently over 100gigs (up to date patches and no mods)

Not likely to happen, it's limited by entropy in the end. Compression improves and will continue to, but every next step is harder and has less difference in size than previous.

Internet speed & storage sizes are far more likely to get faster/bigger/cheaper than progress in compression.
