Environmental Station Alpha is one of the most formative games I've ever played. The fact this game is 8 dollars is unbelievable. I first played it back in 2016 and immediately fell in love with it, putting over 30 hours into it. I've been replaying it and god, everything I love about this game has only gotten better. It's a very fun and creative metroidvania. What's not immediately apparent however is that there is a LOT to sink your teeth into here, and that's all that I can say. Anything further would be robbing you, so I ask you to trust me that this game will deliver so much.

It's no exaggeration that I've liked games as a whole more after seeing everything ESA has to offer. My tastes have been heavily influenced by this game and I'm forever grateful I've played it.

this game is an oldschool metroidvania, it has a lot of weird design decisions that don't really hold up in the modern day. it also has a really terrible control scheme on pc, you can change it but you can't assign your jump button as space... i honestly can't recommend this to anyone but diehard metroidvania fans
