How do you actually play this in remote play?
I invited friend and nothing could be controlled. If I enabled MKB I can't do anything and visa versa.

I suggest not using remote play and instead using Parsec--it's free and works much better
https://parsec.app/

Normally we use parsec, like for xcom. Other games worked fine as well with remote. This is the first time we have had issues. Just coming here to see if there is a solution before going back to Parsec.

I'm not sure, but whenever I tried playing this on steam remote play, the connection was terrible, and I, the host, could hardly control my mouse.

Our issue was controls. Only one could ever control, it was pretty much like watching a stream. No lag and buddy is east coast US while I am over here in TW.

I do not believe that this game has no save in the cloud nor a normal multiplayer like the other games.

not gonna lie, the lack of real online coop is probably why this game is doing to poorly, 100%. how any dev could develop a turn based tabletop like game without online coop is just... how? it makes no sense

Exactly. I love Divinity 2 and Wasteland 3 even more because of the Coop, you laugh so much playing with friends.

I personally think the problem is the hidden workshop.

EDIT: I play this game with friends weekly using Parsec over on my discord server. So "true" co-op isn't really an issue for us. That being said, most of my friends don't have the game, haha.

Workshop is internal so that we don't get flooded with copyright infringement claims from user-created content.

I know that, but it makes it difficult to have a unified community of creators and ways for players to contact creators.

Well, there's a sub-forum for workshop discussions. If developers want they can post about their creations there. There is also discord, which everyone seems to like. To me its just a forum where everyone posts on the same thread. I don't really see the advantage of it over a forum.

problem is that people are like disconnected. There are some creators that I have no means to contact outside trying to friend them on steam.

The former helps when end user plays on more than one computer - or a safety measure against, I don't know, getting your HDD destroyed or something. Either is a rare sight.

Lack of normal multiplayer could be a total bummer BUT it's a turn based tactics, you can improvise stuff if you're so inclined to.
Like streaming your screen to your friend and operating your friend's hero under your friend's command (as you'll likely be in a voice chat anyway).
It's... not entirely the game's fault. This genre is hard to incorporate cooperative mode into due to its redundancy AND availability of other means for co-op'ing such games. Low value, a lot of work with UI.
(there's no PVP or otherwise competitive mode anyway sooooo you're not losing much by resorting to such improvised multiplayer means)
(hmmmm, why this game is listed as multiplayer, anyway?)

BTW is anyone interested in hotseat PVP in this game? :papyruswacky:

How about implement the online coop like you promised when you released the game two years ago instead of creating content? even with parsec it's ♥♥♥♥, because everyone controls the mouse like in remote play and if your cursor is jumping all over the place then because some of your friends tab out of the game and doing other stuff on their pc
