Hitting perfect Consistently?
How can you hit perfect consistently? I'm hitting the keys perfectly but when i press space at the center of the glow bar (white part) its either great or cool? So i guess that is not where the perfect section is on the bar? Where about is it? How can i hit it consistantly?

I use to play 5street back in like 2012 and its similar to this obviously, and i can hit the keys. Just in this game i cant seem to get perfect even though ive pressed all the key way before the circle in the bar even reaches the glowing part. I feel its luck if you get it or not. I dont think its actually mean to be like that?

Any tips?

It is the exact center of the white glowing section, but the timing in this game is very strict compared to a lot of the other rhythm mmo games. Because the timing is so strict, you'll find that certain songs will seem "early" or "late" to you depending on your audio setup, input delay, monitor delay, etc.

I recommend listening for the spot rather than watching the ball, so you can concentrate on looking at the arrows. After every move that wasn't a Perfect, try to figure out if you hit it too late or too early and by doing that you'll really narrow down this Perfect "spot". There's also a metronome item (cash) in the shopping mall that shows a line where you hit the move but a lot of players just think it's distracting haha. Also, it's extremely difficult to get all Perfects in the "Normal" modes so strive for it but don't expect it. Really good performances might be like a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio.

Keep playing and you'll get the hang of it! And keep in mind that some songs are "off" a little bit so you always have to mentally adjust.

So just press it on the beat / rhythm of the song? I've tried that before and it it says im great or cool, and i mean...i literally press it on the exact same timing as the beat of the song :/

Doesnt mention that it isnt the main issue. Even if you were hitting perfects.....the skill level of this game is so high since its been out so long. You will just get outclassed and outmatched by someone that is doing reverse / double chance level 6. I dont even know how its possible. Considering ive been playing music rhythm type games since 2007. Not consecutively but yeah....

Of course you can turn it off but just makes you look bad haha. Especially since once you join other people's loby's, they will have those one and will play at max level on those chances.

You do hit it on the beat (usually the first beat/down beat of the measure in music terms.) If you get Greats, that means you hit it on the beat but you didn't hit the very exact center of the beat. The Perfect timing window is a small portion of the whole beat - is how I would describe it. If you get Cools, you're close to being 16th note or a semiquaver (or 1/4 of a beat) off from Perfect.

Are you using any sort of sound card or virtual surround sound? That may make the audio delayed which might be contributing to your trouble getting Perfects.

Yeah, a lot of players can already use high chance levels, but part of this game is to learn how to read them too. They put in the time to practice and learn how to read reverse or double or 8key, etc. There are extremely good players who play without chance though so it's not necessarily required to be considered "pro" at this game but they really do have a big score disadvantage without the chance bonus.
