How do I shut off this horrid music?

Seriously, whoever thought "I'll make a game where the player is forced to mute their computer to turn off my infinitely looping generic fantasy music" is a jerk.

I looked for options to turn it down without turning it off, but there didn't seem to be any.

If you want to shut off the lovely music, get the game going, press tab on the keyboard to get to the menu (or equivalent on a controller), go to configuration, and the sounds settings are in there. Just set the master volume to 0.

much appreciated. the music is pretty great imo but during certain parts like grinding or using the easy money exploit i like to listen to podcasts while doing it lmao

You're welcome! I actually thought this was about a different game somehow, but it's always either in the settings/configuration before you open a save, or after you start it, in the game. I usually watch a show/documentary on the side myself.
