Is it true if you buy 18+ version from JAST you'll get free Steam key?
Hmm?

Does anyone know how JAST is distributing Steam keys, anyway? As far as I can tell, the Game Card with the package version of the game is just supposed to unlock a digital copy to download from JAST.. not that I could get that to work

Hrm.. Maybe they're going to set it up so you get a Steam key when you enter the code on the card, and they're blocking the card codes for now because the "key creating script isn't don't quite yet"?
I guess if anyone finds out for sure, it'll wind up in here

Yeah, it's really sad if you ask me. I mean how hard is to write one tweet to clear things up.
Also if it's really true that you only get steam key with the package + digital edition that's really bad move since digital only was I think initially almost the same price.

Taken from the J-list newsletter that P.Payne sends out (Being Tall in Japan and our view on paradigm shifts)

" Use your "dollar votes" to buy the games you'd like to see more of, including artists and companies you like, so we know to make more of these.
If you want us to keep making physical editions of games forever, consider choosing our Limited Edition titles, which come with artbooks, mousepads or other cool stuff, or the convenient "2-games-in-1" value sets we've been publishing, to keep more games in print as physical editions.
If you prefer the convenience of our Internet download editions, that's fine too. Remember, all our games are DRM-free (whether package or download).
While we hope fans will support JAST USA's Steam releases, it'd be great if customers who prefer the proper 18+ editions of our games will support those directly. We'll always give free Steam keys for free to customers who purchase package editions, where applicable. (Littlewitch Steam codes will be ready soon.)"

Thanks for the heads up.

It appears that we can finally redeem the key we got sent by e-mail here https://www.jastusa.com/gamecard.
After doing so, you can go to either "My Games" or "My Orders", click on your Order #, and you'll find the Steam key under the Product Name.

EDIT: Aaaand I've just been sent the Steam key directly through e-mail.

Thanks for letting me know :) Finally.

Saw these posts and went to try it myself and it appears the site is broken. It lets me put the key in and knows that game it is for but directs me to a blank window without unlocking to my account. Sad days.

I just found out why my activation was not working. Decided to try again after i slept and it didnt work so i double checked all my account information. It didnt have my address saved in the profile. I added it and tried again and it gave me the key no problem.

Yeah, for some reason it needed me to add a billing address to my account before my code would go through.. Don't think I'd have made the connection, so thanks for the tip Halko

Fairly Immediate Update: Nope, no dice on my end. Both the download key from JList and the Digital Game Card included in the Package version yielded bum results. Just gonna have to wait for JAST to deliver.

Good news. Just got confirmation that we will indeed be able to redeem a key on Steam.

You know if there's been anything further on this? I got it from jlist, and haven't gotten any email or anything yet, but it's been a while.

Personally, this is all I know:

Just be sure to have an address saved in your control panel to be able to redeem the code as was said earlier.

Am I supposed to make a new account on JAST? I got the physical+digital version, so they have both a billing and shipping address saved on JList, unless you're talking about on JAST.

Plus, I never got a code in the first place, unless you're talking about the original CD key for downloading from the g-collections support site.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I didn't know the JAST website was the full-on replacement for the g-collections download site. Going through the process now.
EDIT2: And done. Got my game on steam! Thanks!

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. this sucks.

Wait, so you only get the key if you bought the physical version? :(

I bought the digital version while under the impression I'd be getting a key. Considering they were the same price or very close if I remember correctly, seems like they're making more off of the digital version anyway, so why don't we get a key too?
