If your resolution is 1680 x 1050 then the game shouldn't have any issues running in fullscreen. If you deselect "run in window", then it should automatically switch your resolution. There isn't any way the game can be displaying bigger than your screen resolution. You mentioned something about eyesight. Do you have some other software running in the background to help with seeing things? If this is the case, it could be interferring with the game's ability to display cofrrectly. How do other games appear?
Really, short of sending me a screen capture of the problem, there isn't anything I can do to help. I am sorry about that. :(
I need to see a screengrab of the entire desktop when the game is running. Follow this guide here - just ignore the part about cropping. I need the full image.

Once you have the image saved, you need to "attach" it to an email. You'll find instructions on how to do that with whatever email program you use. Then just send it to viperante@gmail.com
Hopefully then, I can see what you're seeing. :)
