lets share what changes (game play wise) we notice, so far the coco fight seems to be one floor earlier at 5 instead of 6, also don't have to fight trainee elf or basic gobbos before the boss (at lest i haven't found any) also coco didn't have a bind atk when i fought her so i'm slightly sad if boss binds are gone unless theres boss re-fights what have them witch i would love me some refights postgame

I'm liking alot of the new additions and I'm already wishing for the Item/gimmick/dungeon books to be in MGMA2.
The "Joint Struggle" setting is pretty nice too.
Being able to push your friends instead of swapping places with them is pretty huge too and can really save your butt when you mindlessly bumble into a monster house.

i do find the slight story changes interesting, since it seems to hint that the mc has bin here before, so we might be dealing with some type of time loop fun, till told otherwise im thinking the current mc is the og versons mc but grown up, also the adventure guild being a more up front thing is interesting, wonder if we will see anyone post game from them
Campfires now boost the amount of HP regeneration you get per turn. It might have actually worked like this before and I just didn't realize since there wasn't a tutorial message telling me about it in the previous games. However it looks like fire no longer thaws frozen items you're holding by standing next to it. Maybe it can still dry wet items, I haven't tried yet.
MGMA mode now prevents you from bringing items and friends into dungeons. I'm not clear on what else it does but I imagine it'll work the same way it does in 2 for the title dungeon. According to Nekotokage's twitter, Casual mode lets you bypass the item and friend restrictions for dungeons that have them.
You can now change a friend's growth type when enhancing her with Melt. I'm not sure if this can be switched for every enhancement or if it can only be selected on the first one.

The translation is a little better than the first time around, but still has quite a few errors. I'm planning on putting together a spreadsheet of every error I find to send off to the dev. Biggest ones are the key items lacking names (which I'm sure you all noticed right away), but another pretty nasty issue is that the bios in the monster book are cut-off. Longer bios end with "..." implying there should be some function to let you view the full text but there's no way to actually do so.

in MGMA2 picking up an unidentified item that you've never seen before on your save file actually adds it's name to the name suggestion list even without identifying it. In this remaster though, the unidentified items you pick up don't get added to the name suggestion list unless you've picked up at least one identified one on the save file before... on an interesting note, I think viewing the identified items in the black market also counts towards adding them to the name suggestion list. I couldn't get pull staff with the name suggestion, but then I died due to spawning inside a monster house, and after checking all the items in the black market, including the pull staff, I went in the dungeon again and was able to get pull staff as a name suggestion.

I'm curious about the "[X/6]" next to "joining". I'm assuming this is an accidental leftover from 2, but maybe there's a way to get an expanded party later?

Seems so, I just got my party slots increased to 3?

Also please tell me I'm not crazy, but I don't remember MGMA 1 having spears that the player could use... yet I just picked up an iron spear

Spears were indeed a new addition for 2 and are backported into RE. I was surprised to see them drop since they changed the rabbit friend term to gifting several weapons at once. I assumed the reason for that was MGMA1 not having any spears. In the original game their friend term was the same as gargoyle.

I've found a couple new items.
A Guide Staff that seems to have the magic home in on the stairs when you fire it
And a Blank Grimoire, which did nothing when I read it, but according to the Item Book it's got a special synthesis on weapons/shields of "Num of Slots +1"

nice, what dungeons and were they just floor drops or door

also apparently non alpha drop equipment can have bonus stats as i found a random iron spear in opposite demon realm with the blue stat based bonus effects, so if post game still lets us turn normal weapons into the alpha type enhanced ones then that could be a way to get the blue bonus effects with less rng?

I actually found the guide staff in multiple dungeons, the Blank Grimoire I've only found one so far and it was just a random thing on the floor in the "Opposite Demon Realm" dungeon somewhere between 35-38. I don't doubt it drops other places/floors though, probably just rare.

i see, i ush dont use staffs much in these games do to being a pain to regain charges and just gen inv pains but i will keep a eye for that since carrying one should let me use any more i stumble on till i get the identify bracelet
I remember seeing the Guide Staff in the text data for 2 but it didn't have a description. Interesting to see what it's actually supposed to do. There were some other unused items in the text as well, I wonder if any more of them got reused for the remaster. The Blank Grimoire is new though, that wasn't in the data for 2.

also the party slot thing is getting ridiculous. I have 5 monster girls with me in the dungeon at the same time. the back of the line keeps getting distracted by enemies then wandering off though. At this point I'm unsure if I got a +Party slot at 30, 40 and 50 friends gained, or after each dungeon I completed... since I got at least 10 unique friends in each dungeon haha

i feel like the final slots should be filled with mons that you send to solo themselves to faster exp clears, also i feel its dungeons since i seem to get it whenever i beat some of the major mid game dungeons, on the plus side with a smol army of mons the super boss should be more beatable earlyer. also i noticed in the town theres a npc marker near the bottom of the river that you cant interact with (pre beating opposite demon realm) will wait and see once i beat all the main dungeons if bug or not
