Little History, before switch tech. Range characters used to be meta, they used to be the top player against tournaments or any opponent if you pair them up with a dash cut. The only counter were awakening, perfect support. But now, range characters can’t do anything against switch tech. You either have to adapted to switching (doing there range combo than immediately switching or countering perfectly) or, trying to keep a range since now switch tech allows opponents to be plus on block.

Spamming is the key, but at high level play if you don’t switch tech. You are legit out match by the opponent thanks to the fact that if you switch charka would immediately not be consume. There’s also sub banking too, were if you switch if you get hit by an attack your health would come back. Tons of crazy things you can do.

It’s funny since tons of newbies still complain about old characters, like range characters being “annoying” when there are legitimately the worst characters in the game in current meta. deidara Is quite literally the worst character in the game because he has no tools, he can’t do damage, he can’t convert his normal ic combos don’t have range. His only good thing is he can stop mashing but if the opponent does know how to fight him. He is a lose cannon, but if you know how to switch tech. Than he’s great for closing gaps

Join player match and fought with you. Here's my tips for your play-style

I respect you for just using deidara, but again. you're limiting yourself with not switch teching or, again. If you want a good "spam character" tuaya is way way better thanks to her dokis, you can hide behind them and spam her projectiles. Or, you can run away and throw kunais since her kunais do more damage than deidara way more.

if you want deidara combo because its great to stand still and spam it, other great character that is lead better is Mei (Mizukage). Her first 2 normal combos has the MOST broken projectile that have so much priority that can stop ninjustu and projectiles. It can be spam over and over and track even if someone is defending or hollow stepping.

The reason why i;m saying this is because deidara projectiles are BAD, unless you spam his first hit or his upcombo but he has NO stun. people can just runaway since it doesnt track and people can still dash towards you. even with a dash cut, Shino is a better range character by himself. BUT, if you use deidara as a switch character.... okay than he's top tier. But by himself, he's a F tier character. your whole strategy can be eliminated instantly someone goes into Awakening even with noobs.

Dont matter how good you think switch tech is it dont beat my team proven that in matches.
