V-sync issue? (19/02/2016)
Ok, I could run this game flawlessly from Day 1. When the game came out, the only lag I had was when there was split-screen action going on (for example Sarada's ultimate and linked awakenings, etc), then the first patch came out, it fixed this only problem I had. Everything was running perfectly.

With today's patch I noticed the framerate drops from the beginning (15-20fps), at first I though it was a simple bug, I restarted the game it was still there. I though maybe I just needed to repair my Visual C++ Redistributable installations, I did that and restarted my PC, the problem was still there.

Then I verified the integrity of my game's cache, it reset my settings but the problem still persisted.

After testing everything I found out that the game was running perfectly again once I turned off V-sync from the config file. I always had that turned on before and it was running perfectly... If possible, I would prefer playing with V-sync.

Even if it runs pretty much as good as before without V-sync, I still feel that the game is more unstable now.

To sum it up, V-sync doesn't work well with this game anymore since today's patch. Does anyone else have this issue?

EDIT: After more testing, I found out that when V-sync is enabled, even though the FPS is low it goes back to steady 30fps after a few seconds most of the time. For example, in the character selection menu, it's 15 FPS for like 10 seconds, then it goes back to 30 FPS; In the mode selection menu it's 20 FPS but when I go back to the title screen it goes back to 30 FPS... No idea if this is even relevant but those are my observations.

EDIT 2: After monitoring with MSI Afterburner, I noticed that only 15% of my GPU's power is being used while playing the game with V-sync, and 48% is being used with V-sync disabled. There's definitively something wrong here.

EDIT 3: If I force my GPU to max throttle with a third-party program like FurMark, the game runs normally at 30 FPS without drops, with V-sync enabled. (Thank you HaiHaiDesunee for the help)

EDIT 4: *You can use Borderless Gaming (purchasable on Steam) to play the game in borderless windowed-fullscreen mode without V-sync, which removes all the screen tearing ^^

Specs:

Intel Core i7-3770K, 3.50GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4GB
16GB RAM
Windows 10 Pro 64-bits
DirectX 12

I said this would happen...
The patch for low end pcs screwed us high end pcs.
Monitor your gpu frequencies and report, but you could always disable v sync, i have and theres no problem. I do get the occasional lagspike but thats only in online so i dont think its me

I did report it to Bandai Namco support, sent them my DxDiag and a link to this thread (if it's even relevant). I can play with V-sync disabled for the time being, but I think it was still worth mentionning. I do hope they fix that, screen tearing is really noticeable in this game.

Dude... Don't start this here please -_- Even if it's true he/she was rude sometimes, it's only because of people complaining without giving any information on what they tried and didn't try or their specs (and most of the time, people were complaining when they didn't even meet the minimum system requirements), and when people keep creating duplicate threads all the time. This time, you can see he/she commented a proper reply, so no need to go there.

EDIT: I'm not trying to take a side here, all I wanted is people to focus on the subject and avoid any flaming in this thread.

But did you monitor your gpu frequencies? It might be scaling down for some reason

In the task manager you mean? not sure how I do that. but anyway the game runs perfectly fine without V-sync.

Nope, download msi afterburner and go to settings and then go to the monitoring tab or whatever just search for a tab where theres like gpu speed gpu temp and stuff with ticks next to them and click them and at the bottom select show in lcd

I see GPU1 only in-game, I just tested and noticed the game uses only 15% of my GPU with V-sync, but without V-sync it uses 48%. Is that relevant?

Nice edit, by the way. Looks like someone is butthurt that I'm helping people

1) I just changed "You with you're non senses are back" for "You and you're non-senses are back", so yeah, it was a great edit, thank you so much.

2) Yes, you ARE saying a Non-Sense. Optimizing a game shouldn't bring by its own any problem to the High Specs PCs at all.

3) Butthurt? Helping?
Please wake me up at the day when saying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is actually helping smh

For the part I quoted she didn't tho. He's/She's still butthurt because everyone pwned her and told her plenty times the reasons why this game should be able to run on not-necessarily-high-powered-PCs-only.

1) 2nd time making the joke, still doesn't get it...
2) Thank you for being my faithful fans, you among others, that have commented about me in every single comment I made today
(Seriously, that was a long post, thank you for your dedication.)

I don't know what they did with the optimisations, but there's definitively something different since the latest patch (for my configuration anyway). I was playing at 30 FPS without drops just before the update with V-sync enabled so there's no reason why it wouldn't run as good. So unless you have any information that can help me, please leave.

Indeed. There's a bug there. Try overclocking your gpu just a bit(like 20-30 mhz) to see if it hits top speed, and make sure you're on the high performance power plan
