Horrible lags in online battle. Takes out the whole fun

I really like this game, the story mode was cool and it was nice to be able to play the story in the manga. Also one thing that really surprised me was the loading times. It is practically zero. Compared to the other games, they made a really big improvement.

Now what i absolutely don't like: Online Battle. Why you ask? Simply the lags. It takes out every ounce of fun. I probably had 2 games, where the lags were tolerable. In such a fast paced game, having no lags is very important.

Honestly, I'm not the best player but I'm not that bad. And a lot of games were lost due to the high ping or lag or I don't know. The delay of what I press and what happens on the screen is just too high.

How is your online battle experience so far? Also laggy, or is it just my problem? I would really like to know.

Online is working jst fine (dont join red ! ! ! ). Well there are only noobs now but it is fine .

ok, I'll take it back. Changed some router settings and it is working fine now :) So it was on my side after all. Thanks for the answers!

P.S: People that rage quit are a-holes :D

i don't have the game yet, really considering buying it. I have revolutions and had serious lag in online battles. i live in south africa, don't know if that could be the problem. i don't want to buy the game and then lag in online battles again. Any advice?

Make sure you play blue and yellow bar connections only. Red bars, well, they suck.

Im guessing these bars are new to storm 4? How do they work, do the people with bad internet get red bars and people with good internet blue? Or do u have some sort of choice?

Nope, they've been there since forever lol. Basically never play red bars. Yellow bars and blue bars are good, even though you might experience a little bit of lag with yellow bars, rarely tho.

Ooooh i see it now....getting mostly red bars, got a yellow once. I guess it depends how far the two players are away from each other and their internet strenght?

It doesn't have anything to do with how far away the players are. Just internet strength.

Internet strenght and specs.

One of my blue bars opponents told me all his amtches were always "this slow" when we fight, and I asked him if the game on singleplayer was like this?, and he said it was.

Even when I host, the online match will look at the same speed for both players...
