Left Side Only Audio Fix

Keep in mind this may not work for everyone.

Right click your volume control in your taskbar > Playback Devices > Go to your current speakers being used > properties > advanced > then change the sample rate and bit depth to anything else.

I changed my Sample Rate and Bit Depth from 44.1k by 16 bit to 48k by 24 bit. You may not have my option because I have an interface that supports higher sample rate and bit depth.

The audio voices should be working on both sides now. Worked for me
This method was mentioned in the reviews btw but I'm putting it here in case people didn't see it

On a side note:

My specs:
1920 x 1080
Windows 10
i5 4670k
24 GB DDR3 RAM
EVGA GTX 660 FTW ACX 2.0

Running at constant 30fps with vysnc on (go to config file and turn vsynic = 1)
I'm running shadow quality at only medium.

I will admit the main menu SEEMS super laggy and thats because its not my frames its the game itself.

Other than that love the game though.

I'm just as shocked as you are. After seeing all the bad reviews I had low expectations but for some reason I haven't had any lagg issues and after fixing the audio the game seems OK for the time being. I might have to lower my shadow to low settings because in adventure mode it drops a little to like 26fps. I just really hope they fix the main menu because as i said its slow not because of lagg but because of the animation

Darn, this didn't work for me.

Then again, the headphones i'm currently using doesn't give me the option to change to 24bit, I only have 16bit options (which I changed to each one, restarted each time, still only coming from the left side).

This fix will probably only work for devices that support 24bit.

I have just tried going back to 44.1k by 16bit and yes it stopped working for me. So it seems you do need 24bit in order to get both sides working

Tried using both my headset and my speakers, both with 16 bit and 24 bit and sadly it makes no difference. Still only get cutscene voice audio through the left channel. Even tried changing to 5.1, 7.1 etc and still nothing.

Really hope this gets fixed soon -_-

I guess this fix is VERY VERY situational but thats ok at least itll help maybe like idk 1% of the people out there. Yes hopefully the devs fix it rather than making us try to figure it out

I have those options and it didn't work for me.

During slideshow-with-dialogue style cutscenes, sound still only comes from left side.

My settings were always on 48k by 24 bit. I've never had any of the distorted audio that others have complained about, but I definitely have voices only coming out of the left speaker.

I only have 16bits on different values; and none woked...sucks for me since Im half deaf (have little to no audition perception on my left ear), so I cant hear anything being said on cutscenes unless I turn it around and HOLD it because the headset is not designed to be used like this...
