Is the difference between defending something and not making a big deal and crying a river so hard to grasp ?
"beginners economics" Again, show me a dev, especially japanese ones, that stuck to a platform that wasn profitable ? "Oh, if we put more time, money and effort into their special needs, it sure will be more profitable next time. We just need to put the extra money we didnt make into it"
"Nice logic, it's not a poor port because it's the same quality as the other two versions."
Yup, exactly that. Your neighbor drives a blue car with 100hp, you get a red car with 100hp. Just because you wanted one with 120hp, doesnt make your car "the poor one"
How about you learn to read the posts people have made on this thread.
Nice ad hominem by saying I'm crying a river, when I'm merely criticizing the game.
"that stuck to a platform that wasn profitable" If selling the game on PC isn't profitable they wouldn't do it, since they do sell this game for PC they are obviously hoping to make a profit. Please stay in school.
60 FPS has been a gaming standard for PC games for over a decade, hell even limiting games to 60 FPS is archaic game design. For you to call it "special needs" really shows off how much of a gigantic fanboy you truly are. This isn't even mentioning all the other missing features people are complaining about, like missing V-sync and not enough resolution options.
I quoted this so others can see your ignorance and lack of understanding of basic economics. This game has an approval rating of 48% if you seriously don't think that will motivate the developers to try harder next time because of the loss of sales, you clearly have no understanding of business.
Terrible analogy, it clearly demonstrates your lack of understanding on the issues you try to discuss.
lol it's not like it's competattive or anything just a fun game to play locally
That's actually a good point to make, because it isn't competitive like Guilty Gear or other top tier fighting games, the 30 FPS doesn't ruin the game.
However at least you and some other people who say 30 FPS is fine, aren't accusing the people like who want 60 to be wanting "special needs" like Einherjar has been doing. Pretending that 30 FPS is the standard.
Saint Seiya has an anime but the game is 60fps.
By your logic the Street Fighter movies run in 24-30 frames so that means the games should run that way too.
I highly encourage you to delete your account for this one line.
No it's not, if it were then the developers never would have said their target was 60.
If you looked at the store page the reviews are negative, no one is going to buy this shi t port besides the people who pre ordered it.
That's entirely due to the incompetence of the developers. If this were a common issue then no game would be 60.
This is entirely correct.
I would love to play this game, but the reason I didn't preorder/buy it is because when I bought NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst it gives me motion sickness / headache (30fps).
I'm afraid this new naruto game will do the same thing to me, and with Dragon Ball Xenoverse I don't get motion sickness / headache (60fps).
Same here, love Naruto Anime, bought the first one and people saying it's smooth are lying. Maybe they use 60hz monitor. But higher monitor refresh rates shows the stutter in 30FPS. I even use Splash player in order to convert Movies to 88Fps and the difference is really huge. Can't go back to watching movies again in lower frames on my monitor. You can clearly tell the lack of frames your eyesthrough your monitor needs.
Some people are unaffected with this and just ignores the effect as they truly love the game. But to most people paying for the game. They want the best, smooth quality for their hardware. 30 Fps games just feels and looks cheap. It is just not worth the current price for itscurrent quality for most people.
I play my pc games on a 60hz monitor and I can see it's not fluid enough when it's 30fps with
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst.
I guess we got used to high quality PC gaming and can really tell the difference and we want all games to have such quality. But I guess it's really that expensive for that extra 30 Frames, if only they also charge less for cutting back on development budget on a certain platform. But I guess a copy paste job is cheap and easy enough for the port and they can double or even triple their development porting cost with just the fans super loyal support.
Why spend more if you can profit without the extra work and cost right? I'm 100% sure the next installment or similar port from said devs will still stick to the same format cause they can easily get their money back and more. It's just PC anyway right?
Same, I thought wow they are finally making an effort to make an awesome version of a Naruto game on PC. But I also have my doubts and just waited. They sure fooled a lot of people though. There is really no need for deception if they just put in extra work and additional budget. Maybe they also can;t make a special exception for PC as their target console audience would get jealous. And they don't want their precious console players to experience that.
I kinda wish consoles would release like Iphones so they can finally catch up to PC so we can finally have Good things together.
