Screen Tearing
Hey all, i was just gifted this game from a friend for the sale that was going on - as she knows I love Naruto.

The game runs fine at the 30fps Cap, no lag, no input lag and such.
How ever during the cutscenes, such as mid battle if i unlock a secret factor or i've just completed the mission and a story cutscene appears, i get weird screen tearing.

I know that during some scenes they produce vertical lines to stimulate an "old" effect, however these lines are super apparent and are horizontal during the cutscene.

Specs -
1080p Monitor
gtx 980ti
i7 4770k
16G Ram

Can you post a screenshot of this "tearing" effect? Not exactly sure what you're talking about here.

Screen tearing is caused when a game runs at a different frame rate as the monitor. This game runs at 30fps which means only a 30hz monitor won't have tearing. However, most monitors today go for 60hz or 144hz, so there is evident tearing.

The best solution is to go into the game's config.ini file and set vsync=1
If you can't find where the config.ini file is, right click the game's name in your library and click "Properties", then click the "Local Files" tab and click "Browse Local Files"

Try forcing VSync through nvidia control panel or check storm 4's directory. Open config.ini. If it reads
"VSync=0" just change the 0 to a 1. Hit Ctrl+S and launch storm 4 again to check.

Good job not reading the comments. I mean, the Nvidia solution was new, but the other half of the post? GG.

And with no reason at all. He tries to start another argument...

No reason at all, yeah sure. You totally didn't just ignore my entire comment and dismiss me for "starting arguments". Leave this thread before it's too late. You're too much of a troll to be taken seriously.

You could have just seen that I was in this thread and left it alone, but no, you had to post. Either you're so stupid to not even read the comments that are right there before the reply button or you're trolling. Remember the other post where you said you'd ignore me? Where was that? This is just more proof that you're either a troll or a liar. Again, leave before it's too late.

Another way to prevent screen tearing is to run the game in windowed mode. If you have a 3rd party app that can make a window borderless, it will also likely result in better performance than fullscreen because directx in fullscreen is pretty fickle.
