I cannot launch the game

Hello, I bought and installed the game yesterday, but when I tried to launch, the game just showed the usual steam "running" message but the game didn't start. No error was displayed. So I went to the steamapps folder to run directly from the launcher but I got a directx-related missing dll error. I somehow fixed that but now I get a different error:

"The procedure entry point _get_current_locale could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll"

I couldn't find a fix for the life of me. I tried everything. I tried running with both GPUs, but the error stacks. I tried updating windows, installing older versions of vcredist, uninstalling and installing again. Everything. I'm running Windows 7 x64

Hi, try this to fix storm 4 game in windows 7 :

1- Get the updater for SP1, download it here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842
2- Select this version : https://gyazo.com/27b29c74a7d7a03ff632e91daa218737
3- Download Visual C++ here : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 (64 bits option)
4- Install SP1
5- Install Visual C++
6- Run the game, it should work now.

Ok, then post the specs of your PC and add the graphic card that you use.

And how did you fix the directx-related missing dll error??

And by any coincidence the missing dll file that you downloaded was the msvcrt.dll.

No, it was the d3d11.dll

Update: I fixed it by deleting the .dll I had to download in order to fix the initial problem. I don't know anything anymore but the game seems to run. Way to go microsoft

I think you shoudn t have downloaded the d3d11.dll file from a 3rd party source :

I think that s what is causing your new problem and popping up the msvcrt.dll error message. You should erase or put the d3d11.dll in another location as backup.

Now to get the d3d11.dll from a reliable source :

The step 3 in that tutorial is more likely the safer way to get the d3d11.dll file. After that you should try again the steps i put in my first post.
