Sound problem
I have problems with the sound. There is no voice or music sound in main menu, battles, story cutscenes, intro etc.
I already tried to reinstall DirectX with the DXSetup in the CommonRedist folder and to change audio settings. I also reinstalled the game and verified game cache. Nothing worked.
Does anyone have an idea of what the exact problem is?

What's your PC specs? Can you tell me what region of the game you're playing in? Have you installed any mods?

What's your audio manager's bitrate set to? Just in case, it should be set to 44100Khz or 4800Khz.

Also try deleting your EXE and the data folder (If you have a data_win32 folder, delete that as well). Then try verifying your cache after deleting those.

PC specs:
Graphic: GeForce GTX 950
CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 3,3Ghz
RAM: 8GB

Region: EU (Germany)

Mods: None

Sound: 24 bit, 48000 Hz

So you mean deleting the entire NSUNS4 Folder under steamapps > common?

No, go inside the NSUNS4 Folder and just delete the data folder and NSUNS4.exe, but keep the rest (like config.ini and the other folders)

Ok trying it out right now. But what difference will that make in comparison to just reinstalling the whole game?

When you uninstall/reinstall, Steam Cloud data is restored as well. If your game got corrupted, Steam Cloud won't know the difference anyways because it just stores any changes you make. This can be useful for modders. So reinstalling just restores whatever you have on Steam Cloud.

When you verify your game cache, it actually checks with Steam's own servers to see if your game data matches up with theirs. If there's any difference, it tries to remove the difference. Problem is that any files that are added may not be removed anyways, and if a file is corrupted then it may not pick it up right. By deleting the files, Steam Cloud notices that the files are gone and is forced to re-download the missing files. In this case, the data folder for the sound files and the EXE for the instructions to play them.

Hope I helped!

Out of curiosity, do you use keyboard or controller?

Controller.
After the game verifies and downloads fully, go to the menu select (Where it says story mode, online battle, free battle, etc.) just press Y and check your settings there. You may have them muted after verifying for some weird reason.

K thx for the info.

K done but unfortunately it didn't work. Still just SFX sound but no music or cutscene voices.
Do you have more ideas on what the problem might be?

Did you try checking the settings with the Y button on the main menu? Cutscene voices are mixed with SFX and BGM last I checked because they're pre-rendered, but do you hear any voices in-battle?

Yes I checked the settings. Let me be more precise:
In-battle sounds + voices work
In-battel music doesn't work
Intro, menu and story mode cutscene music and voices don't work
Menu sounds (when switching betweens options and pressing A etc.) work

So your issue is that music/BGM doesn't play, which is strange.
Voices in the Intro and Cutscenes are tied to the BGM stream, not the voice stream.

What kind of speakers or headphones are you using? Try plugging in a different pair of headphones.

I already tried it with a different headphone and TV. Still the same problem.
I also installed the game on my laptop and there it worked.
