Can you play this with a gamecube controller?

Okay so I saw where some people can play this with a gc controller. I did everything that was said to do. My gamecube controller works on my pc and I downloaded a xbox 360 controller emulator. Apparently it works for everyone, yet its not working for me. Can anyone help out?

Hi again, try this :

1. Download x360ce on google or somethings (this game need 64bit ver)
2. Extract download in game folder
3. Open file x360ce_x64.exe
4. Setting for your gamepad and press save
5. File xinput1_3.dll will appear
6. Rename it to xinput9_1_0.dll
7. Open x360ce_x64 again and press save
8. Open your game and enjoy!

What adapter are you using? 4-port Mayflash WUP-012 worked for me, but it doesn't work well in terms of in-game controls. The layout is not very desirable for a game like this.

One time I set up an official one with Vjoy and Xpadder. Soft presses were sub and block, hard presses were supports. Needless to say, I lost a lot. Although, you COULD rebind up and down to be the bumper buttons and have L and R be sub and guard.

What Im using is the official WiiU adapter for the gamecube controller. It didnt work on my laptop until I installed the drive. When I got the x360ce, everything worked when testing it, yet didnt work in the game. Strange
