Will this Spoil the Anime?
So im up to episode 097 of Shippuden,
Where Kiba and Hinata just fought Gurren's minions till they retreated when Shino came. I really want to play the game, but definetely dont want to spoil anything for myself, I did that when I watched Star Trek and I dont want to do it for Shippuden.

It's only the last game in the series, it won't spoil anything right?
I'd recommend playing Storm 3 before getting this game if you don't want to be spoiled.

It will spoil because this game finishes the story and anime is still behind because of tons of filers and you're even more behind, don't touch any Storm games (excluding 1) if you don't want spoilers.

Episode 97 is after Storm 1 and before the rest.
I guess being smart enough to privatize your profile doesn't mean you're smart enough to understand the sarcasm of my post. First of all, Episode 97 of Shippuden is not before all games except Storm 1. He can technically finish most of Storm 2 without spoilers and if he started on Storm 2 he would be on a better track than the anime. Let's be honest, the animation in the anime around the same episode window as the end of Storm 2 was terrible.

So the Storm games have a story line seperate from the anime? i had thought it was like the DBZ games where you could fight your way though the story arcs of the anime. That sounds pretty cool

They don't have a storyline separate from the anime. You've essentially watched 60-70% of Storm 2's storyline and I'd recommend making that switch to the Storm games soon because the future doesn't hold good animation or dialogue in the anime. The Storm games offer better dialogue, better animations, etc. with the same story roughly as the anime, if not better.

The only one that has it's own main storyline is Revolution, and that game even has backstories in a side-story mode.

Apparently reading comments is just simply for peasants and you can't be bothered with trite things such as that.

Is there a reason you're watching filler episodes?
