On a side note, this port isn't really as bad as it could have been. If you're getting low frame rates, you either have a bad PC, are pirating the game, or both. Seeing the mouse next to your name, you're obviously not running a pirated copy.
I'd say that if you want to make the game run fast, there's a mod that's available in the discussions (One of the topics I've created) that works if you have around 4-8GB RAM. Even though it works, I'd say it's a better investment to save up for a gaming PC for the time being.
Notably missing is the rumble feature due to it lacking PC drivers, but it has light-up buttons if you get the same model I did which is a nice touch. For a third party gamepad, it's really good.

To comment on the port quality, I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, but I run it smoothly on outdated hardware that's closer to minimum specs than recommended without any frame drops or crashes...
my copy is not pirated, because ♥♥♥♥ that. and second I like to think my PC is pretty good . Off the top of my head, 16GB RAM, MSI GTX 1070, Intel i7 6700k, I think 3.4GHz, 4.2 Turbo, don't quote me on that last one though. And of course an SSD, don't think any other specs are relevant.
However I haven't applied any mod to it, or fixes or wahtever, just bought the game, set everything to max settings and changed the keyboard layout a few times, but it feels as if I'm just getting closer to controllers, but it's never gonna be as good as using a controller, but that's just my opinion, maybe I didn't try enough yet.
As for frame rates, it doesn't drop at all, but it seems kind of low, are there mods to improve it to 60? or is this just a peculiarity of it being a port?
The Storm series has always run at 30FPS and no mods can fix it because doing so would only double the speed of all the animations (they're tied to frame rate).
Yea that makes sense, as it used to be console exclusive, right? I have played 1-3 on PS3 and it felt less obvious there, but I guess that's just because I'm a little spoilt when it comes to PC games frames
Yeah, unfortunately they didn't update the engine when they decided to move to doing PC ports, which I guess is fine, but results in cons like this.
I highly recommend you avoid buying this monstrosity, no offense to the recommender, but you should buy yourself a nice, well known, high quality controller once and be done with it, instead of buying knockoffs and being disappointed.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. I've found no decent tutorials for texture modding, nor does a texture mod for this exist as far as I know. We had one on the previous Storm games because they were compatible with TexMod, but Storm 4 is not.
I didn't mean it in an literal sense, he can figuratively convert the signs in his head.
Yea I don't really look at the signs either when I use controllers to be honest so that shouldn't be a problem after a couple of hours of playing! Might just use a PS3 controller to be honest
I kind of expected Naruto UNS4 to be like Dragonball Xenoverse in terms of controls, they did a good job there in making it quite easy and intuitive, for those who also played DBX
