This, might help. You probably struggle with Force landing frames(FLF)
Also, pupetmasters kinda different in movements (so they need different aproach in the way you control them), and i can't help here due to my lack of expirience playing with them.
From my expirience it's better to avoid double jumping with block, or use well timed ninja move/ninja move + kunai to avoid get hit on your block in the first place, which often leads in opening for your own attack. And, to be honest, i hardly belive sasori could get advantage in frames from blocking in air. He's slower then most of top tier close range fighters and puppets will often fall down, leaving you vulnarable.
Here is my Sasori btw I use jump tactics with my pain support mostly
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy56FGXD-GY
2) Guard in air is weaker than on ground, so jump+guard need to be done carefully, ( 1-2dashes can break red guard in air, so you will be exposed.)
Basicaly you catch enemy's Chakra dash with tiny jump+block(need a good timing to do so) and then you have advantage on your 1st hit, or you use your Air Chakra dash after you blocked
Enemy's chakra dash with jump/2jump+block - thats how usually you take openings from jump+block(guard) without using Leader switch,
Also, few tips about jump+guard:
1) Lower=better: the higher you jump =>higher chances to get FLFed. which leads in getting fully exposed.
2) Learn to extend your air mobility with ninja move(dodge)/ninja move+kunai/leader switch after double jumping (X+X->guard+moving left/right etc.) Dodge better than block in majority of scenarious
3) Don't risk to jump-guard with red guard, ecpesially if your oponent have enough chakra for Ultimate.
About that "system" Mostly it based on abusing leader switch, which you may/may not know already. Anyway i defenetly won't provide you with guides about broken mechanic abuses, I used to fight cancer, not spread it. Or maybe we just talk about different things, i'm not sure)
If you have troubles with classic close combat characters, I at least need to see 1 match you playing them(cos pupmasters are entirely different gameplaywise) to help you with more advices, or show you ways you can deal with particular problem.
Btw you are definetly good with Sasori.
Heres the only video of me playing serious with a non puppet team that I can find.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VaZ3wMlxI0
This here displays all my knowlage of non puppet users.
Here is a video of why sasori is not really competative imo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-4RPlNFwOQ
He normally uses a better team, but I can't beat him to save my life.
I may have been a lttle intimidated due to losing to him so many times. That isn't really my absolute best, though he can still beat my best using nagato np
So little analys:
1) he know how to presure pupetmasters. And to be honest, There is know way to counter that as pupetmaster over then make 0 mistakes, and predict all his movements.
2) This supports (Sasuke and Sakura) was good aganst you because as pupetmaster you don't move around too much -> easy target to hit with straight trajectory jutsus.
3) He wasn't playing 100% serious And was very confident he will win.
Now about 1st video:
1)Disgusting oponent, cheap strategy, skilless spamer,
2) You was struggling to get in, so your movement need some improvement
3) Character control wasn't perfect either
4) Need to learn/practise kunai presure with slow closing in with side jumps
5) Good finish, well deserved victory)
The thing you should learn is :(thats how i calls this moves maybe they have another names in comunity)
1) Double Chakra dash and other versions of this move
2) Combo cancels with ninja tools
3) Way to get to your oponent's block and posibilites to crash it with presure or mindgames to trick it.
4) General character movement improvments and minor stuff
I will try to find some videos, or maybe will even record few, but it will take some time, and NO PROMISES, I might get bored midway)
I will write you later, need to get some sleep before work. Feel free to add me on steam)
