Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 or Legacy?

I'm considering getting this game mostly for the story, but also for some couch versus against friends. Is the story between the 4 games somehow connected? Should I get all games with DLC or just the 4th game?

I should probably add that I'm not a fan of Naruto, I just like the art style and I like to casually play fighting games from time to time.

if youve seen the show, the first game is the entire first series, the second game startes shippuden, the 3rd continues it, and then 4 finishes it. if you are wanting to play the entire story, get legacy

if u wanna play online then buy 4, there are the most of the people, also 2 3 and revolution but sometimes is a bit difficult to find a match

if you don't any of those,yes buy the whole bundle its better.

regarding DLC: 4, road to boruto gives you pretty much everything you could want across all of the games including all characters, the only one not included is a Tekken cameo that I'd actually like to see updated and put into the game. If you bought the game solely for a couch fighter, 4 is, in my opinion the best in the series with the most balance/ridiculouslness ratio in terms of what can be done. solid game, would love to see more like it in the future.
