Ultimate Ninja Storm Series - are these RPG?

I want to buy the complete series for my wife, as she is a big time Naruto fan, but noticed with everything listed, I can't tell if this is an RPG game or just a fighting one. Can someone please fill me in on the missing info? Thanks.

Yep it's a fighting game, but you got an adventure mode in all the storm series except generation, revolution and storm 2. The adventure mode look like an rpg mode, you control your character and can move around the ninja world taking quest etc, quest are usually to find someone and fight him but sometime you got some different quest. So yeah it's a fighting game mixed with a little bit of rpg mode
