i have encountered someone in ranked with that too, who played against me with momoshiki and always quit before he died. i wont say his name though, since that might just be a crash and stuff.
but he did it like 5 times.
Moveset modding on the otherhand won't work because the inputs are pretty much just copied to your opponent.
Player 1 using a Sage Naruto moveset while Player 2 doesn't have it would result in:
Player 1 sees Sage Naruto doing some over the top massive rasenshuriken rainbow lazer haxs
Player 2 sees him doing a normal punch, games didn't match up, therefore it'll desync.
Model swaps work the same, if a bone gets hit or should've gotten hit, it'll desync.
