Not bursting any bubbles here. Just stating the facts.
The number one priority for companies isn't gameplay but sales. I assume they released those games because they will sell better. They have more content and are more easily marketed.
There are multiple communities dedicated to pushing UNSG to its utmost competitive limit. Considering that they're really active, I'd wager to say more people care about Generations.
Storm 1+2 doesn't even have nearly the amount of people in their community as Generations still has. Just stating facts.
Plus, Generations uses S2 engine, which means it's just as easy to port as S2 with superior flexibility in modding compared to UNS3 Full Trash and its sequels.
And how big are those "communites"? 10-20 peole? a hundred people? Unless you know of some massive compettive Naruto communities that I haven't heard of, I doubt they have much say in such a matter.
If you ever hear about any petition or decide to do it by yourself, let me know, I'll gladly join. However as for now only 1 & 2 (and 3 for PS/XBOX) rereleases were announced, I'm sure that if they wanted to rerelease Generations too, they'd inform people about it already. But since Road To Boruto was (at least as they said) the last DLC to Storm 4 and new Boruto game is not going to come fast because manga & anime just started - they have some time to remake Generations and rerelease it for those who wait for anything new.
