Stellar Blade™

How does PSSR compare to what upscaling technology we have in this demo?
Anyone played this before on their PS5 with the Playstation Spectral Super Resolution? What was it like on your 4K+ TV? or any large display really.

I've seen a handful of threads here that the demo looks blurry before having driver updates...

I've only played the demo on the PS5. From what I can tell DLSS looks far better than what I saw on PS5. However, a lot of that is because you can choose what quality level you want the upscaling at. i'm using the quality preset and it looks very nice but that's because the resolution it's upscaling from is far higher than what's happening on the PS5.

I did check out the lower presets (balanced, and performance) and both still looked very nice, with only a little artifacting in fine objects like hair and grass.

I did not check out FSR or XESS though. In my experience neither have been quite as good as DLSS

The thing that cinches the deal for me on PC though is frame generation. I'm playing on a 120hz TV and framegen allows me to hit that 120fps limit with performance to spare (running on a 4080 super). The fluidity of the framerate plus the fidelity of the image makes It feel so much nicer to play than even the 60hz mode on PS5.

i Agree with the Answer above DLSS 4 and Frame Gen is literal Tech magic

No smearing on PS5. If you play on PC look at the silhouette around your character while moving the camera around. Looks horrible, none of that on PS5.
