controller input delay
* edit

game feels floaty on controller. As replies said, probably just input delay with xbox controllers, probably just demo related and will be fixed in the full game.
Thanks for the help.

Using a xbox controller perhaps? It's a PS5 game so it might be a problem there (in the coding) It might get patched out before release or with the first day patch.

My experience with keyboard was that it felt awkward as I'm not used to console and this being a console game it has that very clear console control feel to it's controls.
keyboard - bad, Xbox X|S wireless - so so, Dual Sense - playable. It is stupid not to configure controls for keyboard and mouse when porting your game to PC...

For me eveything felt just right, dodge and parry are as responsive as they can be. Attacks are fluid as possible. Combos are cool, movement is good, maybe jumping around can be a bit more polished but everything else is good for me. can you be more specific on what problem you have?

I use dualsense btw

I'd assume input delay from a usb device. I stopped playing games with controllers because of this exact reason.

input delay in this day an age shouldn't be possible at all unless you are using some faulty or uncompatible cable or software or something, pcs are just so much faster then a decade before.

Despite my setup, I had input delay with my ps4 controller on Elden Ring whenever I played, and so I switched to M&K and that fixed it right up. Might just be the bias in me for traditional M&K since I was a teen, but I prefer it that way. As you said though, it could very well have been a bad cable or out-of-date software/drivers. I would suggest OP looks at their installed drivers and just double check and see if everything is up-to-date.

are you on bluetooth
I bought this on PS5, and I can tell you that it was present there, too; I hate saying "you'll get used to it," but I promise that you will. I will also note that while there is a bit of delay, it is actually *less* noticeable on PC than on PS5.
