That's what sold me the game. Why does everything have to be so complicated with some people?
Some of us prefer depth and complexity in a game.
Some people rly hate seeing others having fun with something.
Damn, I'll let the US president know. Thanks for giving us such vital information.
Go ahead and tell the US president if you want, buddy. I couldnt care less about the US or your sarcasm, do whatever suits you.
I also played the demo and it seems like a pretty typical hack and slash with okay visuals. Its obvious from the skill tree that you get more tech as you unlock more abilities. The complexity will come from the harder fights and like much similar games once you get into the flow of dodges / parries and attack combos it should feel pretty great.
Overall though I wasn't really impressed by the demo either but for the gooners and the people who legit want the game play from this. Have at it. No sense in ruining the fun for others if they like the game.
Worth the $80, no, I don’t think so. But worth playing for a casual adventure hack and slash, probably.
Subjectively, not objectively
As a huge souls fan, I found the combat fun & engaging, with qt events to spice up the pace and give a nice cinematic experience. From a quick look, the skill tree further pushes the gameplay to higher complexity while also encouraging different play styles with rewarding outcomes. Exploration seemed great, OSTs absolutely amazing and the hints of further character customization (both in stats & visual) got me hooked.
With all that being said, if you think graphics make a game, and the gameplay wasn't good enough for you, it is what it is. There's nothing wrong having a different taste or opinion about things.
Lets look at final fantasy rebirth on ps5
