Stellar Blade™

Stellar Blade™

Am i the only one who thinks the Demo is a little too short to truly evaluate the gameplay experience?
Is the Demo really a good representation on how the gameplay will feel overall? I still can not really tell how to feel about the gameplay system.

While the fundamentals are objectively speaking solid, the gameplay felt like it requires some time to truly get a feel if the gameplay is your cup of tea.

Perfect parry felt strangely underwhelming if i compare it to the likes of Sekiro or Khazan. Maybe this improves over time, can not tell.

Dodge felt weak early on and i did not see a real need to use it instead of parry. This also could change further into the game.

There was not enough time to really estimate how the blink mechanic fares during the game. I had no reason to use it even once against the Boss of this demo. Parry and some running against projectiles was all i needed. Again an aspect i'd only be able to tell with more time.

To finalize, is anybody here who knows the game already, who can tell if this demo is a good representation on the gameplay experience?

I personally almost only used dodge. I was always bad at parrying so I Spent my skill points on both the after dodge attacks and dodge felt fine.

Also yeah go play the boss challange and read the whole skill tree they give you there because that boss has purple attacks outside of red blue and yellow and if you don't read how to deal with that from the skill tree you'll wont know.

The boss challenge in the demo unlocks all(?) of Eve's moves. So you can get a feel of her moveset there.

Boss challenge does not unlock everything unfortunately. There are still 2 skill trees that are locked.

Also when you play the game back in ng+ it also changes some of the skills. Not majorly but still kinda fun.
