Stellar Blade™

Stellar Blade™

People who played on console. Does this game get better?
I've always been wary since this game is by the people who made Nikke. But i'm a big fan of Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe. This game held its Nier influence on its sleeves. But a year ago I remember this game was critically panned from both sides. The gooners upset about censorship. Then the critics for not enough censorship. Never hearing about the gameplay itself. But after playing the demo I was actively trying not to fall asleep within the first 10 minutes. Does this game improve atleast from a gameplay standpoint?

If your attention span is so short that you can't make it 10 minutes without falling asleep, this game may not be for you. Do you really need us to tell you that?

It has nothing to do with attention span. It's just playing so many games that this felt generic. I wouldn't be currently playing Zachtronics games if I had a short attention span. Why attack over an actual question if the gameplay improves from people who finished it?

Are you this game biggest lover? you are everywhere defending the gameplay... Let people have their dislikes.

For me, I found the gameplay itself so generic lol

It's a silly premise. You say you can barely stay awake after only 10 minutes of gameplay. Of course you shouldn't get it. Was that an attack to you?

Yes the combat gets more involved, EVE gets more movement abilities like double jump and air dash, the world opens up with large areas and a quest hub, and there are some very challenging bosses later on.

Are you illiterate? What part of "this game may not be for you" is me not letting them have their dislikes? Maybe you were arguing with someone else and are projecting their stance onto me.

Problem is your question. At what point gameplay supposed to be improve?

You want faster gameplay? - No. The game tempo do not change.
More complex gameplay? - Yes, as the game progress Eve getting alot new skills and items that change whole gameplay.

Yes the beginning part is the worst. Gets much better overall.

I don’t play on PS5 but the demo is the least engaging parts. By hour 4-5 supposedly your skills are going to open up, but, it’s largely this for the entirety of the game, yes.

Yes the game gains momentum once you're past the introduction, but you have the core gameplay loop from the beginning.
I found Eidos 7 to be the best part of the game honestly. Easily the best music and aesthetic.

Did you play the Boss Rush? It shows you how the full game will play.
First beat the demo. Then beat the stalker boss you unlock after beating the demo. Then let us know if you still feel the same way. Don't forget to select your gear. Sometimes, you may need to do something else and come back to it some other time.

I will answer your question, first I have played and read the Nier Automata story and I have finished this game in my PS5 and the stories are not similar not even close when a person said that it is because it is comparing some basics ideas (swords and fanservice). Nier Automata explores many different philosophical topics while Stellar Blade is more a Japanese cyberpunk story (in that sense stellar's blade story is closer to GITS than anything else). Second, the story is interesting but the voice acting in english is bad as bad as game breaker. Third, the gameplay is repetitive but the mechanics are great and fun and in this topic Yoko Taro has said that this game is much better than Nier. And finally, the final word is yours; pay full price day one as I did or wait for a sale or don’t buy is up to you.
I think the initial reviews all got caught up in the vortex of gooner garbage. Morons like Grummz tried to build it up as an all-time great because Eve is hot before even playing the game, then review sites tried to shoot it down because of the same reason, and neither side considered that there might be something else to the game.

In the end, the reality is the middle ground: Eve is obviously an attractive character and the game pushes the cosmetic options, but it's a fantastic action game regardless of (or despite?) that. I'm a sucker for changing outfits in a game every 5 minutes anyway, so that wasn't a downside for me.

At least try to give the demo for than 10 minutes. If you still don't see a reason to continue after some battles in Eidos 7 or the boss of the demo, then the rest of the game probably won't convince you.
I'd argue it gets worse.

The moment they introduced a hub along with a huge open area is where tedium hits immeasurable levels, traversing with Eve is 0 fun at all, and to add insult to injury you can't even attempt to do some jank because of invisible walls.

This game would've been so much better if it were linear.
