It has nothing to do with attention span. It's just playing so many games that this felt generic. I wouldn't be currently playing Zachtronics games if I had a short attention span. Why attack over an actual question if the gameplay improves from people who finished it?
For me, I found the gameplay itself so generic lol
It's a silly premise. You say you can barely stay awake after only 10 minutes of gameplay. Of course you shouldn't get it. Was that an attack to you?
Yes the combat gets more involved, EVE gets more movement abilities like double jump and air dash, the world opens up with large areas and a quest hub, and there are some very challenging bosses later on.
Are you illiterate? What part of "this game may not be for you" is me not letting them have their dislikes? Maybe you were arguing with someone else and are projecting their stance onto me.
Problem is your question. At what point gameplay supposed to be improve?
You want faster gameplay? - No. The game tempo do not change.
More complex gameplay? - Yes, as the game progress Eve getting alot new skills and items that change whole gameplay.
In the end, the reality is the middle ground: Eve is obviously an attractive character and the game pushes the cosmetic options, but it's a fantastic action game regardless of (or despite?) that. I'm a sucker for changing outfits in a game every 5 minutes anyway, so that wasn't a downside for me.
At least try to give the demo for than 10 minutes. If you still don't see a reason to continue after some battles in Eidos 7 or the boss of the demo, then the rest of the game probably won't convince you.
The moment they introduced a hub along with a huge open area is where tedium hits immeasurable levels, traversing with Eve is 0 fun at all, and to add insult to injury you can't even attempt to do some jank because of invisible walls.
This game would've been so much better if it were linear.
