Stellar Blade™

How did they manage to lift the region lock?
I mean this is awesome and I am gonna buy it now 100%

But why won't other Sony games appear?? If Stellar Blade can do it so can other Sony games (SM2, TLOU2, HZD:R)!

It's simple. Korean developers are based
because shift up is not under sonys thumb like naughty dog they are seperete company and are fairly big so they can stand agiants sonys antics (just my opinion)

I can think of three possibilities.

1 - SU or their CEO has more pull against Sony than we all thought
2 - SU put forth the most effort to overcoming the region lock vs. other Sony-centric devs
3 - There's was never supposed to be a region lock in the first place and Sony goofed up hard (note how the SB Twitter PR guy was genuinely confused when the region lock was first brought up)

Probably because they actually tried to release the region lock unlike the other studios since, it appeared that they were not aware of sony doing it. So when people reached out, they seemed genuinely confused that it was there.

My hunch, is that Shift Ups CEO/leadership don't want the region block, as that massively impacts sales. The lack of sales from denuvo is a drop in the bucket compared to 130 countries that couldn't buy it.

I suspect it didn't work on HD2 because it was an untested product, and they went day1 to steam, instead of delayed, and that was retribution, from Sony, about PC gamers causing a riot and review bombing the game for trying to force Steam/PSN account linking. And, ill be honest, it really soured my taste for HD2. They have done a lot of work to it, but they burned me once and im not inclined to give it another chance.

Speculation/tin foil hat theory... I suspect there was some sort of strong arm on Shift Up's side to Sony, like a "remove it or else" type thing. Especially with this about to release, and SB2 in the works. Since SB blew up on PS5, my guess is they used that and SB2 as leverage to get it removed.

Game currently doesn't require Playstation Network Login so they can sell it to places where PSN isn't available kind of like how Helldivers2 use to be.

The other games are Sony first party titles, except Helldivers 2.
Are you living under a rock? TLOU2 is avaible for PC since the 2nd season of the tv series began this year

I'm talking about the region lock, mister. And it is not available in a lot of regions including Lithuania. So its either that you are, in fact, living under a rock or you cannot read
