Denuvo Anti-Cheat relies on two Windows services for its functionality:
Denuvo Anti-Cheat is a kernel driver service responsible for the anti-cheat protection used by games.[10]
Denuvo Anti-Cheat Update Service is a background service responsible for keeping the anti-cheat component up-to-date.
Both of these services are manually started alongside the games that needs them, and can at any point be uninstalled through the Programs and Features list of Windows. "

If it exists in Anti-cheat, it exists in the other one. And they won't tell you.
I'll give you a clue, Anti-Cheat is usually used in multiplayer games and Denuvo Anti-Cheat has only been used in like 3 games.
Also it's very common for Anti-Cheat software to have kernel level access.
If that's not good enough maybe have a look at the Stellar Blade store page where it clearly mentions that it's using Denuvo Anti-Tamper.
Now I understand why companies are adopting Denuvo. Piracy has never bankrupted them. And the companies that use Denuvo have a history of bad practices against consumers (Microsoft, Sony, WBgames, Ubisoft...). The EULA never makes it clear to us about our rights to the product, imagine a program with Kernel level. They will never tell you.
In any case, Denuvo Anti-Tamper can't have such access as it's embedded into the games exe and doesn't install anything.
It doesn't install anything because it already runs with the game. That's why it has a performance drop. 2 programs running at the same time.
If it's just an Anti-Tamper, a check at startup would be enough to verify if the game is original. Why does it have to be running all the time along with the game?
I won't buy it. Maybe in about 2 years or when they remove the denuvo.
There is no trust in hostile and invasive people.
Irdeto makes denuvo anti-tamper right?
And Irdeto makes denuvo anti-cheat right?
Now read what I wrote earlier again.
Only 4 games[www.pcgamingwiki.com] are using it.
I think Sniper Elite 5 had it but now they use EAC instead.
