Stellar Blade™

Stellar Blade™

MacOS support please 
Please port it also on MacOS. A lot of Mac users can run games like these easily with the new Apple chips now.

My M4 Mac Mini processor is more powerfull than my Ryzen PC cpu or that of my Series Xs, or most Ryzen 9s and cost me only 600 bucks. All benchmarks prove it.

Get with the times Apple offers now better value for $ than the scalper supporting scumbag companies of Amd, Nvidia, Intel, Sony and MS. This is now what I have and there is no reason why SB cant run on it in 1080p

I mean I agree the M4 would be able to run it albeit on low on 1080 or 1080 with MetalFX and that they should release it there, but you misinterpret its specs, don’t get me wrong for the base M4 has a relatively good iGPU compared to current laptop iGPUs, but you misinterpret its specs, an Xbox Series X is a lot stronger than the Apple M4 found on the Mac Mini (and is the same price) the main reason being the GPU, that is vital to run the game properly, the base M4 has a good CPU, better than the current consoles, but far from the current high end desktop PCs, the thing is Apple for now has the best single core, period, they could be putting a lot more GPU in their products, but they are barely increasing the core counts of their base M4, the M4 has a GPU comparable to the low end RTX 3050, Apple has GPUs stronger than the PS5 and Xbox Series X, like the one found on the Apple M4 Max (40 GPU cores) and the M1 and M2 Ultra (max GPU configs) (not 100% sure about the M1 Ultra but I would say it is) if Apple wants to be taken seriously they should make an SoC for gaming that combines the Max GPU (like the 40 cores of the M4 Max) and the CPU of the base M4 (otherwise you would be releasing the M Max again so I don’t see it being cheaper)

So the base M4 (base M series) won’t be good for gaming (and if you barely upgrade anything of that M4 Mac Mini you would easily double the price), and their other CPUs/SoCs are expensive, if Apple created the product I just told you for the price of the M4 Pro, one could chose a more GPU gaming focused Mac, with an acceptable price for the category, otherwise Mac Gaming will always be on the back seat.

Oh and even if the Apple M4 base CPU was better at everything would still be the issue I just explained about GPU and the fact that you need to be translating games

how's the gpu performance though? as far i know M4 is arm based. it'll be like asking for another port all together.

I never said that the M4 Mac Mini is the strongest gaming rig but that its CPU is factually stronger than most x86 cpus by average gamers and console users including my PC when someone called it not a real computer. And its way above the minimum system requirements for Stellar Blade obviously.
Are there processors stronger than the Mini? Yes of course, but the prices are almost the same if not more than just getting a Mac Mini, and its more power efficient and quiet. The latter being the reason getting a Mac this time instead of supporting the scalper industry. I dont regret this machine at all for simple daily tasks and working, I still have my windows PC with a gaming card which has more fps on games but the Mac Mini really shows impressive results for emulating all my windows games.
The GPU isnt fast but it has 16GB of potential video ram in total for games that it can throw at dueto the Unified memory architacture if you close down every other application of course. Most of my PS4 era steam game will run on it in 1080p 60fps on the highest setting and thats all with wine emulation software like Crossover.

I do agree that Apple should be more flexable in giving more options for the Mini. There should be a Pro option that grants the better M4 Pro cpu for 300-400$ more not 1000$ without all the extra ram and SSD space. But youre wrong claiming that Apple doesnt improve the GPU in each new release for the standard CPUs, they clearly do as all the benchmark show that the M4 in the Mac Mini is very closer the M3 Pro performance in gaming.
So you could have gotten a regular Mac Mini m1 and upgrated to this new one instead of paying for all these expansive Macs, Mac hardware doesn't have to be expensive anymore.

All my steam AAA games from the PS4 era run at 1080p 60fps highest settings no problem so far, and there are all emulated with the paid Wine software Crossover. It's only the Unreal Engine 5 slop that gives my computer problems like with all hardware. These games would run even better with native Mac ports.

Stellar Blade should support Mac OS in general to have the game be more future proof, the industry is moving all to arm CPUs including Windows. Soon all the games will have to support arms architecture on Windows which is being pushed.
