PUBLISHER: PlayStation Publishing LLC
You are summarizing what I said lol. Being a publisher entails marketing of a third party's products meaning lot of money involved to promote a product. But not only that, ppl have to be aware of who you are, namely Sony promoting the game rather than Shift Up themselves doing it.
FYI, Sony from what I heard obtained time exclusivity contract with Shift Up for PS5 release because one of Sony's former executives strongly pushed Sony to do so for PS5 at the time.
What DRMs they put into it.
When they need to release the game, will they wait till it is finished or force them to release a broken port.
Censor the game or not.
Overprice it or not.
There are so many things. And after Helldivers 2, I have absolutely zero faith in this trash company as a publisher of PC games.
Yeah, I can't argue with how you feel about Sony. I heard the news about some games being banned in some 170 countries or so. It's crazy.
If Sony has the ultimate say in the condition of Stellar Blade release, that would really stink. But I don't know what type of authorities a publisher has over a developer, nobody ever released news or articles on that.
And seeing these remasters of 4 years old games from them, gives the look that their primary focus is really just the money now and nothing about the gaming community.
