Why is it that every person defending this DRM is always playing the pirate card?
It has NOTHING to do with that! Reasons we don't want it:
1. By adding Denuvo you are requiring the user to connect to the internet to launch the game and this will be very inconvenient for those on the go on a portable device like a Steam Deck.
2. The game can be rendered unplayable if the servers were to ever go down and they have in the past
3. Degraded performance and longer load times
4. Even if you have verified the game, you still don't have permanent access. The DRM makes periodic checks and occasionally you need to verify again.
