DLSS making performance worse ?
For some weird reason using DLSS (not framegen) is making my performance worse. Anyone else having something similar?

What specs you running?
I am having the same issue.
Specs rtx 3060, i7 12700kf, 32gb ram.
And while I play without dlss for a while then comes the audio stuttering and fps drops.
Hope they fix this game.
i had this issue after i got up and had to leave my pc for a few minutes. it was stuck at 40fps. turning off dlss brought it back to 120. i restarted the game and that didnt help, restarted pc and its been fine since.

Yeah, really weird. I'm hitting 100+ FPS without DLSS, but after playing for a little while with DLSS on, I noticed unusual VRAM usage and way more stutters and slowdowns than usual."
Similar issues on my rig too.

Frame gen is actually lowering in game FPS from 180 to 80 on 4x frame gen on my 5090 with DLAA. 180 doesn't sound high but i'm on quality all settings maxed at 4k with 4k texture pack and before this was over 240 fps so something changed.

Deleted game and config files and re downloading didn't fix it. Weird it didn't do this before. Reinstalling graphic driver and even overriding DLSS and Frame Gen files with latest versions in DLSS Swapper app did not help. Quality mode with no frame gen gets over 220 FPS add frame gen 2-4x and it drops rapidly to as low as 80 on 4x. The more frame gen the lower the fps or is teh Steam counter now broken?

DLAA is getting higher performance than DLSS and frame gen.
Had a similar issue, but was fixed by switching to Fullscreen from Borderless Window.

Edit: I should also state that I do run a 7900 XTX.

The 4K texture is included in the PC version and doesn't require a separate download or installation, because from what you wrote, seem like additional texture packs are needed. There is no texture pack.

No I just mean its turned on as its not a default setting and some miss it.
Found the issue. Its steam.

Steam in its latest beta update stopped counting frame gen correctly in some games ie Stellar Blade and Last Remnant II but Grey Zone it works fine. Tried latest fox fix driver 576.66 after DDU uninstall all NVIDIA drivers and still ha issues.
Turned on Nvidia Overlay and it counts the frames right. So DLAA all max settings in the wasteland was 400+ fps on frame gen in Nvidia overlay. Seems the last steam update changed how its measuring fps and shows only base frames now in some games.

I'm running on a 13700kf and RTX 5080, and I have the exact same problem. It runs better with DLSS off, but DLAA gives a better image than TAA. I have to assume this is poor optimization. My rig shouldn't have to compromise for this game. It cranks current gen games like it's nothing.
