while i cannot speak for others, i have personally been impacted by denuvo DRM on my linux systems which may require changing proton versions, and offline play using my steam deck. i am reminded of a time when i was on a flight to texas and was unable to launch a game i had been wanting to play because of denuvo, despite paying for it and launching it the previous day without issue.
The proof? Corporations continue using it after 10+ years.
The biggest cope is all the people saying it doesn't work at all.
Pirating a game with denuvo is much harder and usually happens well after the release window of a game
The linux thing you're talking about is a fair point, and I can understand why you don't like Denuvo. You are the 1/10 people that is actually impacted and have good reason to be annoyed.

Funnily enough, it's Denuvo that tells you that you *can't* play it.
Performance issues as a result of denuvo are very much exaggerated
Denuvo is bad, it has never been good and it has ALWAYS affected performance. Games removing Denuvo 6mo-1yr after release and they just magically get better optimized and better performance? Yea, alright bro. Anyone who is alright with Denuvo needs to get out of the FOMO mentality and accept reality. Period.
You couple how poorly games are released these days, in general, with then putting in Denuvo and it is anti-consumer as people say and I would argue a much larger hit to their bottom line than not. It is generally just publishers being out of touch as far as I am concerned.
Fortunately, DOOM TDA runs really smoothly on my machine, and that game has higher requirements than stellar blade lol lmao even
You care enough to make a post, also all these new games putting denuvo in and yet getting cracked so soon left and right. Whats your point? Move on
