Denuvo is fine
Protects devs from stingy people stealing their game

90% of you are complaining about Denuvo even though it doesn't impact your enjoyment of a game in any meaningful way

With Denuvo or without Denuvo, I really don't care. If the game is fun, I buy it, play it, and that's it

Cool, but don't come crying if the performance is ass.

I enjoy games more knowing that poor people can't steal them and play them for free. Totally worth the 2-3% performance hit.

We also complain about politics that do not necessarily affect us. Yet we care about it. Why is that?

not really. for as long as it has existed, people have had cracks and offline activation. you can pirate a game with denuvo.

while i cannot speak for others, i have personally been impacted by denuvo DRM on my linux systems which may require changing proton versions, and offline play using my steam deck. i am reminded of a time when i was on a flight to texas and was unable to launch a game i had been wanting to play because of denuvo, despite paying for it and launching it the previous day without issue.

Denuvo sucks, and is anticonsumer, but it works.

The proof? Corporations continue using it after 10+ years.

The biggest cope is all the people saying it doesn't work at all.

Pirating a game with denuvo is much harder and usually happens well after the release window of a game

The linux thing you're talking about is a fair point, and I can understand why you don't like Denuvo. You are the 1/10 people that is actually impacted and have good reason to be annoyed.
Teio May 16 @ 9:20am
Nah, Denuvo isn't fine, but I like your last statement. I'll still buy and play the game if I like it, regardless of whether it has X or Y. It's just about having fun, simple as that. I couldn't care less where the money goes. Shift Up already has a primary moneymaker, which is NIKKE, so money shouldn't be an issue for them. Sales from this game are just pocket change to them, lol.

Funnily enough, it's Denuvo that tells you that you *can't* play it.
45-50 FPS is NOT something any developer should be proud of.

Performance issues as a result of denuvo are very much exaggerated
Bama-Man May 16 @ 9:23am
I have a top of the line PC, almost always do year-over-year, and EVERY game with Denuvo handily performs far worse than any PC game w/o it. If you are of the mind it does not then you very seriously need to think about why so many people hate it. The only people that could possibly benefit from no Denuvo are pirates and pirates aren't funding an "anti-Denuvo" movement or enough people to make the sentiment so strongly voiced. As many others have said you can still pirate a Denuvo game as well especially one that is single player.

Denuvo is bad, it has never been good and it has ALWAYS affected performance. Games removing Denuvo 6mo-1yr after release and they just magically get better optimized and better performance? Yea, alright bro. Anyone who is alright with Denuvo needs to get out of the FOMO mentality and accept reality. Period.

You couple how poorly games are released these days, in general, with then putting in Denuvo and it is anti-consumer as people say and I would argue a much larger hit to their bottom line than not. It is generally just publishers being out of touch as far as I am concerned.
Oo Yea is great remember no long ago I installed some games that had it on my Asus ROG ally all single player, when on a trip to a very rural places I could not get internet, all them game didn't worked because of activation, it's a drm on to of a drm and since they blocked the game in places that don't have PSN, in the future they can start to require it so another drm on top, Yea the hell with these game

Fortunately, DOOM TDA runs really smoothly on my machine, and that game has higher requirements than stellar blade lol lmao even

You care enough to make a post, also all these new games putting denuvo in and yet getting cracked so soon left and right. Whats your point? Move on
Strelok May 16 @ 9:49am
I just hope the performance wont be too bad, my RTX 2080 super laptop is already showing its age and I want to keep gaming on it for at least one more year before I upgrade
