Is the region lock also on the Epic Store?

Can anyone confirm if the same region lock issue applies to the Epic Store? Because some users on X/Twitter say they didn't have the problem and it's steam's fault

Epic store only acts as the online store like Steam. So same. Epic, Steam, or any other online sites where you purchase games aren't the distributors.

For me is available on Epic Game Store but not in steam. Manage to preorder too.

How's that even possible? Sony still is the publisher even if they have the game available on the Epic store site. But the Epic store still links your purchase to being a steam game, doesn't it? No? I am confused lol

Don't know lol. But it seems the game is available for all. If they block it later i will get a refund anyways but for now seems fine.

they had this whole issue with hell divers 2 and psn network. and steam refunding people cause all of a sudden people were region locked. but it's cause psn network is only setup for like 3 countries by the seems

Yeah, it looks like it's not possible anymore even on the epic store. We can only hope that Shift Up can convince Sony to remove the region lock.

no, Epic is its own store with its own servers and I am... HOPING .... their own rules on region locking when it comes to the developer.. they seem suprised the game was region locked so ..here is to hopeing.....and praying... and grinding my teeth with anticipation... and the extra other things I cant mention here.

nah, it is an oversight that will probably get fixed. Spiderman 2, for instance, and all other region-locked games are not available for me on Epic as well as on Steam.

Today they region block me. I was able to buy it when it was visible but can't see it again

Yes its blocked but I bought it. Still no refund and I can see the game in library.
