My pc is pretty new and i should be able to play the game but for some reason the game keeps crashing everytime i launch a battle. does anybody know why?

Been playing this one just recently after owning it for a good long time without touching it, and I'm curious if there's a newer(or just better better) title(be that dynasty warriors, or samurai warriors or whatever) with a character creator at least as good as this one's, while I like the character creator here, the game's content is rather lacking.
