SAMURAI WARRIORS 4-II

SAMURAI WARRIORS 4-II

Should I get this or SW Chronicles 3?
This game seems like a bit of a cash grab, especially as I have SW4, which I liked but I didn't finish all of the campaigns for...

But for roughly the same price, I could get SW: Chronicles 3 for the 3DS, which obviously isn't as technical as this game, but I wish I would've known about it when it was released 3 months ago.

Essentially, I'm asking whether the new stuff for this game is worth investing in it again, or getting a different (albeit smaller scale?) game.

I think SW Chronicles (the first one) was one of their best SW games. And it's probably one of my favorite games for 3DS. I don't have SW:C3, but if it's even nearly as good as the first one, I'd take it over SW4 easily.

That said, just think which one you use for gaming more - 3DS or PC and pick a game for that platform.

I'm honestly using both equally at the moment. PC for MGSV, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, and other miscellaneous games,

Using the 3DS for Project Mirai DX, and Senran Kagura Deep Crimson.

So yes, lots of buttkicking all around, and I'm certainly a KOEI fan, but I don't know where I should throw my next wad at them for :(

PC > handheld in my opinion. You are more likely to get more bang for your buck out of SW4-II than a handheld spin-off series. Depends on your preferences.

Personally, I would choose PC over 3DS simply because it's a stronger platform. A 3DS Musou game will have noticeable frame drops, and not nearly as many enemies onscreen, which really take away from the Musou experience, IMO.

I'd get both. I'll get Samurai Warriors 4 II for my Monster PC and Samurai Warriors chronicle 3 for my PS Vita.

Why not both

I could afford both, but I don't feel comfortable spending that much on similar games at the same time.

Either way, I'm going to give this game a couple of hours, and if it sucks, I'll refund it, and get SW:C3

I would wait for the sale. They usually get 50% - 75% discount when on sale.
