SAMURAI WARRIORS 4-II

SAMURAI WARRIORS 4-II

How is character creation?
Anyone know how robust the character creator is for SW4-II? My only frame of reference was character creation in SW1, which is likely pretty dated by today's standards. I assume we'll be able to customize cosmetics and weapon sets. Will there be a minor story to go along with CAW characters? What about level progression? Thanks for any insight!

I've played (borrowed) SW4 on PS4, and the CAW system is pretty robust, from editing the height of your eyebrows to even choosing which Kanji shows up onscreen when you do your Musou.

These two videos I found on youtube go over all the edit options for male and female for SW4, but the CAW system in SW4-II should be identical.

He didn't include any of the DLC edit options in the video, which you can purchase to get even more parts. Some of the parts are obtained in-game through traveling merchants in Chronicle Mode, I'm not sure how those will carry over to 4-II since chronicle mode was removed. Aside from the weapons exclusive to the CAW, you can also equip any other characters' moveset on your CAW (except for Fuuma), and can switch between them whenever. Unfortunately, there's no story mode for the CAW, since that was Chronicle Mode which is removed in 4-II. Level progression is the same as any other character, I would assume.
Here's the thread on KoeiWarriors forum showcasing what the CAW feature is capable of http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/topic/7184836/1/

Hope I answered all your questions.

Awesome! Thanks for the input. I'll have to check this out. Sounds like the CAW has been improved quite substantially over 11 years!
