A Custom Character Story Mode.

Do you think this game (and future Samurai/Dynasty Warrior games) could really do with a dedicated Story Mode for the custom characters?

I personally find it bothersome that I put 10 minutes work into customizing a character, giving them an imaginary backstory only to end up having to use them in Free Play or in the Tower / Challenges. Which all give very little reward and satisfaction in my opinion. It isn't even possible to play Story Mode with the custom characters as the secondaries.

I would very much love a Story Mode that gives our created characters a hypothetical history and campaign to play out, pitting our characters against the Daimyos and Generals. Having both the Uesugi and Takeda ally themselves against us. Warring against the Takeda Cavalry, supported with the Oda Muskets would be great. Among other things.

Just a thought of mine, would you like a Custom Character Story Mode?

I don't know how the SW-4 Empires story will be like, but on SW-2 Empires you created your character and were the leader of your own clan, having to defeat the other clans of the warring states era for unification of the land. There were cutscenes with your created avatar when they achieved something too. So basically your idea has already been there.

Generally speaking: Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warriors have highly customizable gameplay options only for the Empires spinoffs of the series.
