Any sengoku Basara die hards here?

Hi guys my first post in this forum, been meaning to say hi to you all. So I run a youtube channel myself where Basara is our staple mascot really, love this game but actually stopped with the sengoku musou series after 2 because Koei made that dumb nintendo jump for a time and seemed sort of anti sony before they corrected their mistakes a bit late much later lol.

So if you are a fan of japanese history or Basara feel free to add me, hope Basara gets pc ports too particularly Basara X (cross) which i cover on my channel. Sengoku jidai indeed a turbulant era but one full of courage and heroes.

lol nice to meet you sir. Do you have a favourite samurai? Sanada Yukimura here, just got done with judge end and that was alot darker by comparisson to production I.G's versions. Koei Tecmo just can't seem to match the over the top antics of BASARA even though BASARA started to follow the actual history abit more by the third game, thanks to Tokugawa i now am the proud owner of a yellow hoodie XD XD

Yeah I often think I'd like such rest and relax game such as Sengoku Basara on PC. I have the games until SB4 on PS3 but I did not switch my console on since years now. If Capcom would do any remake/remaster for PC... I exclusively play on PC now.

Likely not going to happen, I think because they seem to have some deal with Sony but yeah it would be a great move.

Capcom won't even localize the games anymore. They localized SB3 (rather decently, actually), but failed to market it and then blamed the fans when it was a financial flop in the west. At this point I'm not convinced Capcom even still cares about BSR anymore, given that game news has been dead silent since Yukiden flopped and all they've done since is cheap productions like manga, stageplays and the recent Gakuen anime (which is based off a gag parody manga so it's not like it was meant to be substantial content). I used to be a huge BSR fan but these past years have been pretty disappointing for the series, with not even a hint towards a possible new game in the works.

There's a 4th season of the anime out soon, they usually follow a pattern that goes Game>>anime>>artbooks

I agree with most of what you say but you might see something soon after the 4th season of the anime starts and it's based around BASARA 4. I have to admit CAPCOM have become huge scum in recent years, SF V was a let down and I won't be buying a SF VI or any of their products again, the fear would be after they had so many great games, the next BASARA would probably be a huge let down given their track records in recent years so I'd rather go back and play them all again.

Wondered what you meant by "dumb nintendo jump". Thought you were talking about some sort of magazine...

But frankly any games released on Nintendo format and NOT on S*ny are fine by me.
Obviously PC is the best choice, but it took this long for Koei to even consider PC release, let alone give us any decent ports. They need to ditch S*ny entirely.


As for Capcom... well, PC got Monster Hunter World, so it looks like they've noticed that PC gaming exists too. Of course it was much later than the console release.... but whatever.
