Controller issues?

Bought the game on sale...was really hype for it. Finish downloading after work trying to launch, plug in my controller. Oh damn its not working? I cant bind half of the key because it keeps giving me a message on camera angle or what not? Is there anything i can do to remove it? Or an emulator or something to change the whole settings into a normal settings? I dont any issues with DW8 before.

Sadly yes....been going through google the whole night. Most answer end up telling me to get a ps4 controller...

been playing it with a 360 controller without much issue. just all the ingame prompts will always show the keyboard keys. it never starts responding to my controller till the main menu

i'm using a wired 360 controller on windows 7 and i have full access to the game at the very start. i didn't do anything to set it up. so not sure if that helps.

the game has some controller issues
and it has something to do with controller drivers. I had to like remove one I had installed even though it comes automatically with windows 10 but I had one installed from the xbox controller drivers web page.

this will fix 99% of everyone whos having this issues problems. If you refunded it get it back if you want. I am not sure why no one else brought this to your attention earlier as this is a common fix for most games that have similar issues. It works equally well here. It is too good of a game to miss for not having a controller working I think. Enjoy!

i had the same problem, but if you "restore to defaults" the controler becomes usable

Not sure if you still have the issue but, I've found that you [i}have[/i] to have your controller plugged in before you start up the game, otherwise it wont detect the controller.

Hey everyone! I hope you still enjoy the game, i know i am a bit late on playing it though i found that ALL of you have controller issues and ME TOO! And it is a NIGHTMARE to play this game on keyboard, though i have cracked the problem, i have a way to get ANY controller to work. It works SO SMOOTH on my PS4 controller now.
So first: Start your controller and go into big picture mode.
2nd: Use the controller to go to your library and choose the assigned game ( Samurai Warriors 4-II)
3nd: You go to controller settings and you need to manually assign the controller key to a keyboard key used in game, so this requires you to at least test the game and see which button do what, because in big picture mode, controller settings you need to assign the keyboard related key to your controller:
For instance: PS4: X, SQUARE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE: so i assigned X controller button to ( soace) keyboard button, so when i press X on controller i Jump! Square is basic attack which is the up button in game.

It is a bit tricky at start, though i have tried it and it WORKS SO SMOOTH!!
I hope this will be of help to all of you, it did help me, and now i do not need any other controller :D , If all of you like my controller settings i do not mind to share it, so PM me and i can upload it and see if you like them, i have already saved them as i play.
