Third party means it is not a Steam game. Popcap, the makers of the game, have it posted to Steam but when you play it the game is run through the popcap website and is hosted by Steam. It is like Facebook games, Facebook owns none of those games and they only host them. It is just a way to advetise other Peggle games.
