Desktop Icon Created by Steam is Blank
The Icon steam is creating for this game is blank. I figured might be the icon cache in the steam folder missing like many other games I have seen. Usually a repair fixes this and downloads the requisite icon. In this case that did not help like it has with other games. I decided to just reinstall the game and that didn't work either. Looks like steam might not have the icon cached on their side like they once did when I first installed the game. I have been able to manually point the shortcut to the games exe to get the icon showing properly. Would like to know if anyone else has this issue and I would like to know who to get in touch with the request this be fixed. Reason I am asking is Steam support says this game is supported by Pop Cap games but I do not know how to submit a support ticket to them directly.

If I knew the code used to name the ico file I would just make my own and put the ico file in the steam game folder where it stores it's icons. Here is an example of the naming used for the metal slug ico file.

99849c2b8773700cafdfafbcd32b9c4b2582b0af.ico

That of course is for a different game. If I could figure out the long file name steam uses for the ico file I could in fact just rename a ico file I wanted and just put that there.

Not sure if you figured this out, but all you need to do is right click the shortcut, select change icon, browse to the game sub-directory (generally C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\peggle extreme\), select the file PeggleExtreme and then just apply/ok back out. The system then picks up on the icon embedded in the executable. Enjoy!
I too get that icon issue, upon trying to open the icon it fails to load a steam dll file and doesn't load the game.
